How grateful are you for Congress letting you keep $80 of your money?

Yep that great deal is only for 2 months.

Merry Christmas from Congress big fat hairy deal!

Who agrees?

The win here is the Tea Party exposure.

A 1 year bill was on the table and public knowledge as early as sept.

Tea Party said no way jose. It was public. They went on to more important things like snakes on planes, ETC.

The win is the Tea Party and Norquist game and wasting congress time during the holidays broke the Senate from the House to do something.

The game is public unless you watch Fox.....

Thanksgiving.....Obama puts Tea Party in Checkmate

Christmas........Obama puts Tea Party in Checkmate with 39 SENATE REPUBLICANS

Murdoch's Wall Street Journal publishes for Tea Party to raise White flag

That is the win and an important public wake up call for sleeping America

We have no time for this we have to make tough choices and the only real jobs bill must be passed before we are unable to rebuild our infrastructure.

Let the people who live on the water table decide the Koch pipeline either way it is their water and their state.

About as grateful as you are that people who make 400 times what you do will not have to pay 2 cents on each dollar over $1 million.

Why is it that people like you feel that any relief given to the middle class is just not good enough if it isn't thousands and thousands of dollars? Most of us are grateful for anything we can get.

Only as grateful as I was for the $750 I got when the Bush admin was in power (and the other 900 billion of the surplus went to tax cuts for the rich)

A tax holiday from paying the full SSI tax is DUMB

    Simple rule to follow

pay yourself first , so in this case way would you not want to pay your retirement tax ??? you will need it in the future ,,, why not lower the standard Income Tax by 2% ???

just a way for BHO to pay off his dumb a supporters ,

Source(s): Scott , if you need the money to pay for pet food, may I suggest that you need to get rid of the pet, it seems to be too much of a burdon to you

food prices have risen 15% this yr., energy and gas prices are also up. what was accomplished in uncertainty and you're a little less in the hole than you were before. it was strictly a political move which creates more stress on the social security fund.

If you don't want yours, and if you want to demonstrate how you stand up for your principles, you can have your employer NOT process the tax reduction for you.

In the meantime, I get that neotards are for LESS taxes for the rich and more taxes for the middle class. We get it okay?

The American people are finally waking up to the neotard lies.

    Have a lovely holiday.

I am dissapointed that the republicans rejected the first deal from two weeks ago that was a full year. Totally unnecessary for republicans to vote against tax cuts.

Its 3% for 2 months so for me I will get $7 which I will spend on government inflated gas prices which makes me the loser in the deal.

    $40** for a family making $50,000 a year.
