2004 Nissan Altima 3.5 automatic transmission?
It seems like all I do on here is ask questions about my stupid car. Sorry guys.
But. Ok, a couple of months ago I had my transmission rebuilt, well now in the mornings when it's cold it will shift a little harder than it should, which I can deal with. After it warms up it shifts perfectly smooth except for when it goes from 2nd gear to 3rd gear. It does the "flare" thing. It does just like this in this video except it's a little bit worse. I'll post it below and then I'll keep typing below that.

Anyway, there is a video response to that which says how they have fixed it that problem. I'll post it down here for you next.

What does any of that mean? I guess I'm just a newbie at this stuff but how do I do this to fix it? I'm warrantied for a year from the transmission place but they kept my car last time for 2 weeks and they will keep it again and they are really just a bunch of idiots if you ask me because my dad took the car back to them and they said that this was "normal" because it was supposed to shift like that so you couldn't feel it. They tried to say it was a "luxury" feature. So yeah, they're damn idiots and I don't want to deal with them anymore. I sometimes don't even think they rebuilt it because it still shifts really hard from park to reverse early in the mornings and I shouldn't HAVE to let the stupid car warm up before I leave in it just to avoid the hard shifting. It's ridiculous.

Well I work a Nissan dealership and get this issue every now and again. Let's assume a ASIN 5 speed automatic trans can be rebuilt at (Tran-King). Sometime everything turns out ok. Other times that last step which is necessary is not preformed. That is where the Nissan Technician would clear the E-Prom Data out of the Transmission Control Module. Over time TCM learns how to deal with the wear and tear of the (old) transmission. By clearing back to the default settings that may make your transmission shop job work even worse. And if the trans is working properly clearing the TCM E-Prom may be all that is needed. I wish you a happy holidays and transmission new year

find shop at ATRA.COM have them check it out and go from there get whatever there diagnosis is and take it back to original trans shop if they refuse only recourse is to take them to court
