I just got laid off from work a few weeks ago...?
Continued-
I just had to call my landlord/property manager at my apartment because I had accidentally locked my keys in the apartment. She had mentioned that she was going to call me anyway because it was time for my "recertification", which shows my pay checks, and employment information, which is what I needed in order to stay at my apartment. I didn't get a chance to mention to her that I was recently laid off from my job because I was really caught off guard when she mentioned it to me at all. I'm worried now about this. I have signed up for unemployment, which I am still waiting on, and I have gone on several job interviews so I am trying desperately hard to get into another job again and I don't want to get kicked out of my apartment because I really have no idea where I will go or what I will do. I have enough money saved up to pay my rent when it comes due next month so I am hoping that I can just pay that and be fine with everything for another month. What do you think I should do?

3 AnswersLaw & Legal9 years ago2004 Nissan Altima 3.5 automatic transmission?
It seems like all I do on here is ask questions about my stupid car. Sorry guys.
But. Ok, a couple of months ago I had my transmission rebuilt, well now in the mornings when it's cold it will shift a little harder than it should, which I can deal with. After it warms up it shifts perfectly smooth except for when it goes from 2nd gear to 3rd gear. It does the "flare" thing. It does just like this in this video except it's a little bit worse. I'll post it below and then I'll keep typing below that.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgX7AYkKias
Anyway, there is a video response to that which says how they have fixed it that problem. I'll post it down here for you next.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=endscree...
What does any of that mean? I guess I'm just a newbie at this stuff but how do I do this to fix it? I'm warrantied for a year from the transmission place but they kept my car last time for 2 weeks and they will keep it again and they are really just a bunch of idiots if you ask me because my dad took the car back to them and they said that this was "normal" because it was supposed to shift like that so you couldn't feel it. They tried to say it was a "luxury" feature. So yeah, they're damn idiots and I don't want to deal with them anymore. I sometimes don't even think they rebuilt it because it still shifts really hard from park to reverse early in the mornings and I shouldn't HAVE to let the stupid car warm up before I leave in it just to avoid the hard shifting. It's ridiculous.
2 AnswersNissan9 years ago2004 Nissan Altima 3.5 crankshaft/cam sensor symptoms?
My car every once in a while dies on me and it did it today in the middle of the road, sometimes it cranks back perfectly but sometimes I have to pump my gas pedal to get it going again. The engine light came on when I was trying to get it cranked again. I thought the cam sensor was only common in the 2.5's? After a little research this is what I came up with. I hope it's nothing too major.
2 AnswersNissan9 years agoIs there a good app to let me know how long my battery has been going since last plugged in on my MacBook Pro?
I went in my battery settings and can't find anything. I also went in the app store and looked around but the apps there don't look too good. I'm just curious to see how much use I am getting on a single charge. The battery remaining feature isn't really correct and changes too much. Thanks.
1 AnswerLaptops & Notebooks9 years ago2004 Nissan Altima 3.5SE timing chain?
Ok I'm pretty sure my altima has the timing chain/tensioner issue. Strangely though, other people say it happens to theirs when its cold and goes away after the car warms up. My car, however very rarely "rattles" whenever I first start it in the morning. It seems to do it at its worse when it is warming up and then finally warmed up. But even then it doesn't do it all of the time. Why does it not do it all of the time if its the timing issue? Please help and give me any advice/information you know. Thanks.
1 AnswerNissan9 years agoWhat should I do with this insurance claim and my finance company?
Ok this is a long story. I'm 20 years old, a little over a year ago I desperately needed a new car because mine was fried! It is a 1998 Nissan 200sx. It now has roughly 152,000 miles on it. It runs fine and surprisingly has never given me any trouble and I drive it ~45 miles per day. Anyway, I recently found out that in another state, the car had a salvaged title. On the carfax, for this state under my ownership, it doesn't have a salvaged title. The idiot dealer I bought it from has since then shut down due to "floating titles" around. Apparently MY car's title has been "washed". Well, the other night a deer ran into the road and slammed into my driver door. The damage isn't THAT bad but still pretty ugly. I owe a couple of thousand on this car still. I definitely have to be upside down on it. I have not gone to get an estimate on it yet but I am on Monday. I have no idea what to do. What would you do in this situation? Should I take the insurance money and just drive the car without getting it fixed? Could I have enough damage on the car for it to be totaled? Everything on the car is crappy except for the air and heat and the engine itself. From it being totaled in the other state, the bumper is loose on the front and the fender isn't the exact same color as the rest of the car. This is so crazy. I have a picture of the damage the deer caused, I will have a link at the end of this. Please don't reply with smart @$$ answers. I am really in quite a bind and don't know what to do. If I get a check from my insurance company, what if they make the check out to the shop that is going to fix the car?

3 AnswersInsurance10 years agoI just bought a new radar detector?
I have had a Cobra XRS-9485 for a pretty long time, it's starting to break at the back where it hooks to the windshield and I figured it was time for a new one. So I found a Whistler XTR-135. Is this one better than the cobra or should I take it back? It's not very loud at all which bothers me because the Cobra is pretty loud. If it isn't AS good or better, then I will take it back. I didn't want to spend a crazy amount on a radar detector. Maybe around $100 or less? Any suggestions?

1 AnswerNissan10 years agoDoes anyone know anything about xenon headlights?
I have a 04 Nissan Altima SE without the xenon headlights. My mom has a 06 Cadillac Escalade with the xenon lights. I don't know too much about how those type of lights work, but I want some in my car that look just like my moms. Does anyone know what I should buy to get this? How much should I pay? Google isn't helping me too well and I don't want to get the wrong thing.
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs10 years agoPlease help me figure out the name of this song?
Everytime I google it these lyrics that stupid Chris Brown and Justin Bieber song come up. Part of it, it may be the ending or the beginning but its something like this:
"oh oh oh oh oh oh I'll be right next to you, you'll be right next to me"
Its a woman singing, it sounds kind-of like a Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, or Kelly Rowland.
This is driving me crazy.

1 AnswerNissan10 years agoFor about a month, I have been having vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain?
For around 6 months I have been having off and on kidney and bladder infections. I just recently got a yeast infection in my mouth and that is gone. I feel almost as if I have a yeast infection vaginally now. For the past month I have been bleeding down there. I thought it was coming from my kidney infection but its not because I have used a Tampon and it is definitely coming vaginally.I have also been hurting in my low abdominal area. I am 66 years old, and I have had a total and complete hysterectomy 30+ years ago. People have been telling me that this is bleeding is from a yeast infection. I'm just not sure. Cancer has been running in my family for years. I have been checked for rectal cancer, colon cancer, etc. What could be causing this bleeding? It really worries me and I can't get an appointment with the gynocologist until next week.
6 AnswersWomen's Health10 years ago2004 Nissan Altima 3.5 air conditioning problem?
The car has 104,000 miles. It was blowing hot air so I had some freon put in it. It's ice cold now but it will sometimes get hot again if I turn the car off and back on again. Then as I'm driving I have to turn the air completely off for a few minutes and back on again for the air to be cold. What could be the problem? And when the air is on the car makes a whining sort of noise, almost like a power steering type of noise.
Nissan10 years agoWhat would cause a 1998 Nissan 200sx to do this?...?
Yesterday the car wouldn't crank because the battery cables were loose. I fixed that and let it sit until this morning. Then I went to crank it and it wouldn't crank. And when I tried to crank it, a little smoke was coming out of the tail pipe ( I was told by my friend) and It wasn't the battery because it was trying too easily to start. I had my friend take me to work because I was in too much of a hurry to mess with it. I came home and it still wouldn't crank. So as I was trying to crank it I pumped the gas pedal and it started right up. But then wanted to die down on me so I kept pumping it for a few seconds then it was just fine on its own. I turned it off and then started it again and it started just fine several times with no problems at all just like normal. What happened to it? Should I ignore it? Should I have something done to it?
2 AnswersNissan10 years agoMy car key is broken, can anyone help me find a rubber glove/cover for it?
I have been looking everywhere and I cannot seem to find what I am looking for. The part on my car key that hooks onto my key ring is broken. So instead of paying $60 for a new key, (because it has the computer chip in it), I just need a rubber cover to go on it. Something similiar to this just not design. And it needs to be square instead of round so my key will properly fit it. Any advice?
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs10 years ago2004 Nissan Altima SE buzzing sound?
I just got the car 2 days ago, I hadn't really noticed this noise until today. It has 102,000 miles. It needs brakes pretty bad from what I can feel when I am stopping hard. But anyway, I've noticed this noise when I'm driving, it's a loud buzzing type of noise. It doesn't change with the engine RPM's or anything like that. But it does sort of "wind-down" as I'm stopping. What could it be? The brakes?
2 AnswersNissan10 years agoBuying 2004 Nissan Altima?
Ok, I am looking at an 04 Nissan Altima. I heard those have some issues, but I've only heard of the 2.5 motors having trouble. This one I'm looking at has the 3.5 liter motor. Does anyone know of any known issues with that motor? It has 102,000 miles. I've looked on google. I can't really find anything major. Any advice?
