Working at Target currently cashier, but possible cross train to electronics?
I was hired as seasonal, and due to my background (heavy in electronics) they expressed interest in cross training me into electronics. I was hired on as a cashier, and have sold as many as 9 red cards, as little as 4 per day since I got hired on since I'm good at selling. My question is, what kind of work do they do in the electronics department. I love working there. Interested to hear from team members who have or do work there. Thanks!
Also, do they give you a raise with it? Or is it the same. I love working there so far. It's been a great fit for me. Just curious. I'm happy working the front, but I know a LOT about electronics. Just wondering how different it would be.

Congrats you found a job that your really into. Sounds like your a good sales men. You can do alot in sales down the line.. What I would do Is go into another target store where your not working at or any other electronic store and be a customer as if you wanted information and see what kinds of things they tell you. Pretend if you were a sales men what kinds of questions a customer will ask about and what features the product have and warranties things like that.
And on your break talk to the guy in the electronic's dept where you work they will tell you what they have to do and if they like it and if its worth working in that dept.
