In most states, when you file for unemployment, you are certifying that you are able to work
If you file for disability you are saying you are unable to do any work
If you file for unemployment... especially after filing for disability, you have now stated you are able to work & gainfully looking for work
So, it is Fraud and it could jeopardize your disability case
If you are able to work, then try for unemployment & let go of the disability case
If you are unable to work, then don't file for unemployment & continue with your disability case
Unless IL is unusual and allows for unemployment when you are on pending disability.... I am reasonably certain that IL is not one of the few states that allow it

no in order to collect unemployment you have to be ready willing and able to work. You are even suppose to report if you are ill or in the hospital any days you could not go to work you don't get paid for.
