Right to Carry Reciprocity Act...what happens now?

I'm looking at the boards about how everyone is celebrating the passing of the Right to Carry Reciprocity act (HR 822) last November...but that's all they're saying. What happens next? It's my understanding from my elementary school knowledge of lawmaking that it will now be forwarded to the Senate for review. Does anyone have any more information on this, to educate us clueless (but hopeful) bill supporters on what is going to happen next?

I'm not sure if the hunting section is the correct place to post this...but if anyone is intimately knowledgeable about HR 822, it'll be someone here.

Thanks.

It's very unlikely that the senate will even take the bill up. Remember, both parties wanted to extend the payroll tax cut and it was almost impossible for them to get an agreement. The current congress couldn't agree on which day of the week it is.

I actually think that the Republicans in the House have no expectation that this will ever pass. It is just an election year gimmick. It would be nice for it to pass, but it isn't going to happen

Your gun rights come from the state you live in, The 2nd amendment is to put a stoppage to what the Feds can do against our state given gun rights....not what they WILL or CAN do for us. If the Constitution WAS the almighty last word about gun rights then we wouldn't be going through all this effort to get each STATE to recognize other STATE'S carry laws. We would have a U.S.A. carry permit.

Get in touch with Your Senator, and get involved, stop being clueless, you are an American, act like one.If we all wait for someone else to do it it gets trashed. As far as Eagle goes, he knows nothing about this at all.

    * According to the U. S. Constitution the Reciprocity Act was never needed, or necessary in the first place.* Read the 2nd Amendment of the U. S. Constitution, then look up the definition of the words; Right, Keep, Bear, and Infringed.* The Federal Government was never Authorized, or Empowered to create, or pass any Gun Laws, or any proposed Legislation whatsoever pertaining to Gun Laws, or Guns according to and under our U. S. Constitution.*... " Guns are what Freedom is derived from and held onto with...not the ballot box."...Just try living Free in America without Your Guns, and Your Ammo; I Dare You.
