Depends on what you want rendered. Certain video software can playback 3D video, assuming you have a 3D capable DVD/BD drive (I think only blu-ray drives are 3D capable so far) and that you have a 3D monitor of course. You are talking about 3D as in the visual effect and not like 3D as in 3 dimensional modelling?
