Why won't this CSS element disappear?

Super frustrated right now- there's a "border-bottom" element that won't go away even though I deleted it! I've been edited the style sheet and the other changes have worked fined. When I used Firebug it shows the element in the style sheet- even though I've deleted it! I deleted it with Firebug (wasn't sure what that would do anyway) but when I refresh it's there. It shows in IE and Firefox. this is creating a stupid line on the page that is out of place. Please help if you can!

    try doing this:

    border-bottom:none;

    save, upload(?), then refresh the page on firefox and IE.

    Sounds like a silly mistake. Make sure you are editing the right file and putting it in the right place.
