Why do some eyes show full eyeballs while some cover some part of the eyeball?

I know the question is little weird but was just wondering because I'm very observant. So was randomly going through some google images & discovered that some people have the eyes where their full eyeball is visible whereas some have the eyes where it is not & little gap between eyeball & lower rim is shown that is the "white background of the eye" ( i apologize i don't know its scientific name) is shown. Would appreciate your comments as the latter is my case. Thanks

Update:

Oops sorry *Lens of the eye" would have been an appropriate word rather than eyeballs.

Everyones made differently so i guess some eyes are bigger than others just like some ears are bigger or smaller and so on :)

Normally, the upper and lower portion of the "white" portion of the eye should not be seen/evident when a person naturally keeps the eye open. In Hyperthyroidism (excess of thyroid hormone) the tissues behind the eyeball swell. This makes the eyeball look more prominent and bigger.

So if you meet somebody with those kind of eyes, advise them to get their thyroid hormone levels checked. I hope you have heard of "Thyroid Profile" lab test.

Depending upon the face strcture, position of the eye may appear different, yaa i know what u r asking,so some people face shape is such as if the eyes will pop out...

BUT medically speaking its seen in Thyroitoxicosis i.e. a type of Hyperthroidism, in which thyroid hormone is working more...
