How many angelfish in a 35 gallon aquarium?
i am building a 35 gallon aquarium. Dimensions-(36x12x18)ish. How many angelfish can fit in it?
@kowareukioku- You were pretty close. Angelfish get to 6 inches. So 6 might fit, and 5 would.

Angels are territorial, and the inch per gallon ryleDOES NOT WORK for fish like these - this inch per gallon stuff is ignorant fish keeping, while smart people use research and common sense instead.
At best you can fit one mated pair, If you try to do 6 of them I promise you only one or two will survive to adulthood anyway.

Generally the rule for the amount of fish in a aquarium is one inch of fish per gallon. For example, if you have a 35 gallon aquarium, then you could put 35 one inch fish in it. I'm not sure how big angelfish can get. I would say you could easily fit 5 or so in a 35 gallon tank, but that's not a professional guess. Try looking up the length of an angelfish or ask the store workers when you buy them.
