How to remove over spray?
I spray painted the of hood my car and I got over spray ever. I was able to remove some of it with a clay bar. I even tried using mineral spirits to remove it. Anyone know how I can remove the over spray without damaging my paint.

Get a rag and soak it with brake cleaner and wipe off the over spray (it won't hurt the paint) don't wipe your spray painted hood though!

Over-spray is very difficult to remove without damaging the finish underneath. The best bet it either some cellulose thinners, or some very fine (2400 grit) wet and dry used wet. Whatever you do though, take care to work slowly and keep rinsing / checking to make sure you only take off the over-spray. Any decent paint job should have a lacquer finish which will protect the original paint finish underneath if you're careful.

Use a rag and some lacquer thinner. Make sure not to get it on the fresh paint and you'll be fine

if you catch it right away then wax will bring it off. paint thinner will remove it. i even used carburetor cleaner before but you can,t rub too hard or it will fade the paint.
