Which spark plug gives the most power?
I got a 2001 Acura CL type S and engine is 3.2 V tech. Which spark plug would give the most horse power? I would also like to know which spark plug improves gas mileages? But horse power is first.

All new spark plugs provide exactly the same amount of power and MPG when new. Period. So don't fall for all the marketing B.S.
It's really is a matter of which spark plugs retain a sharp edge on the center electrode the longest. Iridium has the highest melting point of all the premium plugs and maintains a sharp edge the longest. So look for either a Denso or NGK iridium. Those are the brands that Japanese manufacturers use and they're both really good plugs.
Stay away from copper plugs. You won't get more than 25,000 miles out of them. Same with those "Split" plugs and the multiple side electrode plugs.

Spark plug types have absolutely nothing to do with horse power. For best fuel economy your plugs should be set to the manufacturers recommendations which give a spark duration of 1.5 milli seconds however some engines run better with certain types of plugs. Ask the dealers mechanics which type the recommend

If you watch Horsepower TV on Spike, you may have seen the E3 spark plugs tested. They made better HP, and lower emissions than other plugs. The secret is the E3 electrode......it promotes a larger flame kernel (something you don't get with those needle tipped size electrodes on iridium or platinum plugs). They run about $5.95 per plug.......I have a set in my Harley right now and plan on putting them in my 5.4L Triton in my F-150.

plugs do not produce horse power, they only ignite the fuel mixture. with that being said, some plugs do have a greater ability to ignite the mixture under a load. myself, i use the platinum plugs for two reasons.better fuel economy and a longer life span on the plugs, you only replace them at roughly 100,000 miles.

Go with E3 spark plugs... they burn fuel more efficiently than any other brand because of a new revolutionary design. bad thing is they're usually $8 a piece
