Do you think it takes more of an open mind to be an atheist or a Christian?

I've been told that I need to have an open mind and embrace Christianity.

I was raised as a Christian and I think it takes much more of an open mind to explore different faiths or unbelief rather than stick with what I was brought up in.

it takes an open mind to change your belief, or to learn about others belief

since you were raised as a christian you've shown that you have an open mind because you've questioned your belief and considered another(atheism)

    Here's what I know:

As an atheist, I am completely open to the presentation of credible evidence for the existence of any god claimed to exist. The first religion to do so will get my support.

Can a christian say that he or she is open to the possibility that christianity is wrong?

Atheism is the belief in nothing....so how much nothing can you put in a mind...open or closed?

And do keep in mind that you are talking about apples and oranges here. The unbeliever ONLY sees with his mind, not his soul or spirit.A Christian sees with all three. Do we doubt sometimes? Of course. We all do whether we admit it or not. But our experiences with God and Jesus prove them to us over and over and over.

Faith is not an event. It is a journey.

  • Atheist...It takes more of a Pagan to join christianity...so christians are close-minded Pagans...

a christian doesn't have to entertain new ideas so obviously not them.
