Which term would be more correct for an author: scrivener or scribner?

Just curious. I'm considering joining a couple of writing sites, and may make a new e-mail account to filter out the writing mail. But which term would be correct?

    Scrivener (Archaic) -

(Business / Professions) a person who writes out deeds, letters, etc., copyist

    (Business / Professions) a notary

I've never come across an English word 'scribner', it may be a misspell of scrivener.
