After several years as the resident spanker of crossdressers, it is time for me to put my wicked ways behind me. I was recently outed to my family and my church, and it really put life in perspective for me. I am abandoning this account for the time being. Thank you to everyone who enjoyed my posts for the last several years! It's been fun! And yes, I do still very much love my bf Bliss. :) Some things never change!

  • Where do I mail a 1040x form?

I already filed my 2011 taxes (got to wait until the 17th for the eFile to go through), but for some reason it didn't ask about my First-time Homebuyer's Tax Credit (must not have clicked something). So I need to file that form, which I'm assuming I have to attach to a 1040x. But where do I mail it? There isn't an address on the forms, and I don't feel like trodding to the post office to pick up a paper version. Thanks!

PS: I will not actually mail it until my original tax return goes through. Once it is accepted by the IRS, I can send it on through. I also can't change my eFile since it's in limbo right now.

  • How do I allow people to follow my blogspot blog on FB?

I announced my new blog on my FB page, and someone wanted to follow my blog. She said there was no way to do it. I'm new to blogging. Is there a setting on my blogspot account that allows people to know when I make a new post?

And also, is there a way to automatically put an announcement on my FB page when I update blgospot?

  • Which term would be more correct for an author: scrivener or scribner?

Just curious. I'm considering joining a couple of writing sites, and may make a new e-mail account to filter out the writing mail. But which term would be correct?

  • Jehovah's Witnesses: Why do you use CE and BCE instead of BC and AD?

I asked my JW friend, and she didn't know. I usually only see this used by atheists who do not like to acknowledge God.

  • Christian parents: do you lie to your children about Santa Clause?

This has always amazed and yes, disturbed me. Christian parents who lie to their children and tell them that Santa Clause is real. Really, any parent doing this disturbs me, as these same parents will punish those same children if THEY tell lies.

But Christians are even worse. We're supposed to be honest and not lie. And yet I know tons of Christian parents who lie to their kids about Santa Clause. Many of these same parents get irrate at Sunday School teachers who do not "toe the line" and lie to their students. (When I was a teenager, some lady went ballistic on my mom for having a book about "The Real Santa Clause" in the kiddie library. It was about the story of St. Nicholas and how Santa Clause is made up.)

So, if you ARE a Christian parent who lies to your kids about Santa, how do you justify that? And what are you going to do when your kids lie to YOU? Don't they deserve a free pass on at least one doozy?

  • Is it wrong for a Christian to do a little work for a bingo hall that supports an animal shelter?

I'm going to be housesitting for a lady at church, and she does a lot of volunteer work for a bingo hall that supports an animal shelter that does spaying and neutering at cost. If not for the bingo income, the shelter would probably have to shut down or turn animals away (sometimes up to 100 a day come in.)

She has asked me to count tickets for them to sell. No pressure, just "Hey, if you get bored and want something to do while you're here, I have an idea." I told her I would. I know Christians aren't supposed to get involved in gambling, but this is for a good cause. And all I'm doing is counting out bundles of tickets.

So what do you think? Is this ok for me to do? This woman is really dedicated to the cause, and I feel like it's the least I could do.

  • NCIS cliffhanger: what the heck happened next?

NCIS used to be my favorite show, but then the TV bit the dust, so I haven't seen it in several years, except for a stray episode here and there. So last night I was housesitting, and there was an NCIS marathon. It ended on a total cliffhanger, which I'm assuming was one season's finale. So I need to know, what the heck happens next?

The show was a 2-parter in which the director Jenny was killed and the team was split up. Since it's well into a new TV season, I'm assuming that even if this was last year's finale, it has now been resolved. So what happened?

Also, do you think Abby & McGee will ever get back together? They're such a cute couple! They should be together!

  • Will I get to keep my disability payments if I move to England?

I've fallen madly in love with an Englishman, and we're weighing pros and cons of crossing the pond. He is concerned about our lack of national healthcare here. He thinks I can get nhc over there, but I'm doubting they'll let some stranger just waltz in and get the same benefits as a citizen. (Unless the UK is as stupid as we are in the US. But that's another story...)

But how will moving there effect my disability payments? Will I get to keep my benefits? Thanks!

  • What happens to a woman's libido after menopause?

I've heard two completely opposite things. I've heard that she loses her libido because of the hormonal changes. But I've also heard that once the risk of pregnancy is gone, her libido actually increases because she can enjoy herself without the constant worry of an unplanned pregnancy. Does anyone know? Or is it different for different women?

(I'm reposting this in "Senior Citizens" with the hopes some of you experienced ladies can help me out! Thanks!)

  • Is this part of pre-menopause? Or should I see my GYN?

About 2.5-3 months ago I had the period from hell. My emotions were out of control, and the cramps were unbelievable. I downed black cohosh several times a day to try to keep in balance. It also lasted a few days longer than my period normally lasts. That was the last period I had until now, and it feels like it's going to be another doozy.

I had two packs of sample bc pills from the doctor, so after my last horrible period, I began taking them. I didn't have a period between the two packs like I should have. And I didn't have a period after I ended the second pack, and that was 2-3 weeks ago. It is also impossible for me to be pregnant.

So now I have finally started, and the cramps are already worse than usual. Is this kind of irregularity common with being pre-menopausal? (I'm 43.) My mom had a hard time with menopause, so maybe it's just genetic. But since my periods have always been fairly regular (and fairly easy), could this be an indication that something is wrong?

I know I should probably just call my doctor, but I am having a cash flow problem right now. Still, if this one turns out to be as horrible as the last one was, I won't have much choice. Any ladies out there experience the same thing around this season of life?

  • Ladies: do you think it's sexy to be taller than your man?

My bf is several inches taller than me. But I tried on a pair of high platform heels at the shoe store, and we were eye-to-eye. We both thought it was incredibly sexy! Anybody else experience the same thing? Or are we just weird?

  • Am I a bad Christian because I'd rather buy gifts for my own family instead of a water buffalo for poor kids?

I listen to Christian radio, and it seems like every other program has someone on there saying "Instead of giving gifts to each other this year, we're donating money/toys/gifts to the local homeless shelter/orphanage/starving children in Africa and Asia.

But I feel like I have all year to help the poor. I only get one chance a year to spoil my family. And I'm not a Scrooge or anything. I sponsor a kid through Compassion International, and I always do an Angel Tree kid. I also donate a toy to my chiropractor's toy drive, and sometimes things to our church's food pantry for their used toy drive.

So do I have a bad attitude? Am I being selfish? Even Jesus said "You'll always have to poor. You can help them whenever you want. But you won't always have Me."

  • Help! Trouble with Skype since hooking up webcams!?

My bf and I finally took the plunge and bought webcams so we can see each other when we Skype. We've had nothing but trouble ever since.

Day #1: worked but didn't stream, just sent random still shots

Day #2: his computer crashed each time we tried to cam; ended up on regular call instead of video

Day #3: my computer crashed no matter what (this was Sunday); we had to go "old school" and IM instead!

So, have there been problems with Skype recently? Are we doing something wrong? Is there something else we can try? We've lowered our resolution a bit.

He's in the UK and I'm in the US. Could his ancient non-fiber-optic computer network over there have anything to do with our problems?

Also, my bil said that you can use webcams on Yahoo Messenger. How do I do that? (In case this Skype thing doesn't pan out.)

    Thanks!

PS: I tried the test call line today, and my Skype was fine; didn't crash at all. But then again, my bf wasn't on-line at the time.

  • Have you ever seen/heard a name and wondered what the parents were thinking?

I ran across this name today while I was cleaning out receiver files at work: Ogaline. Wth? Ogaline? I'm just hoping she was really old and that was a popular name 100 years ago or something.

How about you? Any bizarre names that just left you scratching your head?

ETA: Apparently it's a common GAY name, because YA tried to put it under LGBT, lol!

I want to go to the UK to visit my bf this spring, maybe in April. Thanks!

  • Which treat should I make for the Christmas party for my Sunday School class?

Next Sunday is my last week to teach until spring, so I'm doing an early Christmas party with my kids. (Hey, it's not MY fault I miss out on Christmas with them!) But what treat should I make for them?

    1. Cookies. My fave, and my first instinct. Pilsbury has a fun new peppermint sugar cookie dough I wanted to try out with them.

    2. Cupcakes. So we can do a birthday party for Jesus. (But I just made cupcakes for a church function a couple of weeks ago, so I kind of want to make something different.)

    3. Or should I go healthy and get bagels and cream cheese instead?

Thanks! (By the way, these are teenagers, 2 girls and a boy.)

  • Christians: Do you get upset if someone wishes you "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas"?

It seems to be a hot topic this time of year. Does it offend you? Is it political correctness gone awry? Do YOU say "Merry Christmas" instead of "Happy Holidays"?

And non-Christians, opposite question for you: Does it offend you when someone says "Merry Christmas" to you?

Or, for everyone, are you just happy to share in good cheer with your fellow man, no matter what phrase is used to wish you a pleasant December?

  • Do they make actual jewelry-making kits for tweens?

Our shop got its Angel Tree kids' tags today, and I noticed several of the girls mentioned "jewelry-making kits." Do they make such a thing that already has all the pieces and is geared toward 10-13 year old girls? Where would I find something like that? Thanks!

  • Why was "The Grapes of Wrath" so named?

We sang Battle Hymn of the Republic at church last night, and it got me thinking about the book "The Grapes of Wrath." I understand the metaphor in the song (and its Biblical origins), but I'm not sure what it has to do with Steinbeck's book.

Does anyone know the meaning of the title?
