Why does Minecraft run slowly on my computer?
My computer specs:
Windows rating of 5.9 out of 7.9
I3 processor 2.3 ghz
6 gb of ram
Intel HD Graphics
I can play games like MW2 on high settings, but Minecraft, the most pixelated game ever, doesn't run well. I read a tutorial of giving it more ram, but i have given it more than 3 gigs of ram, and it is still slow!

>It's most likely the HD graphics that is causing the problem. You will need to get a regular video card.

You have dual-core CPU but its only 2.3GHz Games like MW2 know how to use 2 core. Minecraft know how to use only one core. Also minecraft is more CPU intensive because it renders all blcoks even the ones you can't see like the ones underground. Google Opti-fine and download the version the enables minecraft to use 2 cores or more it will run better.

Check your video settings on Minecraft by going to the pause menu, and opening the Video Settings menu. Change your graphics settings to Fast, lower your Render Distance to Short or Tiny, turn smooth lighting off, change performance setting to Max FPS, 3D anaglyph off, View Bobbing off, GUI scale auto, Advanced open GL to off, Clouds off and particles decreased or minimal. This should reduce lag by a lot. If this doesn't work, then you should get a new graphics card.
