What is a good pet for a 15 gallon tank?

It can be a reptile, amphibian, or fish, no live foods, also I love snakes but mom is afraid of them

I have never taken care of a reptile or amphibian.

I have had neon tetras, Malawi cichlids, bettas, danios and killies, and would like something more intermediate.

what would be the best pet?

You could try fiddler crabs, leopard gecko (great starting reptiles), hermit crabs (you could fit about 10 in a 15 gallon tank), shrimp tank, fire belly toad, or a red footed tortoise (at least for a little bit)

I've had 20 tetras and 4 ghost shrimp in my 3.5 gallon tank for almost 2 and a half years now and none of them have died! As long as u take care of the water and have a heater, filter, bubbler, and hiding places small shoaling fish like neon tetras are perfect for small tanks, so are ghost shrimp, they are evry entertaining!

Get two barking tree frogs. Or get one barking tree frog and have some fish in a pond.
