I am running a Rockford Fosgate T1500-1BDCP at 8 ohm, the sub was too powerfull and drained battery. Is it ok?
I will get better sound quality, but less punch. Atleast now all my amps and speakers play in harmony.
Before it was too much bass i must admit it. But after the "raw power" project was done, i didnt need as much bass, cus the project system was powerfull too.
Anyone else tested the T1500 in 8 ohm, what you think?
Instead of 1500-2000watts on my system i now have 750-1000 watts.
That'll help my battery and alt.
TS-W3002D4 (4 ohm each coil),rated 500w each coil (2) now runs at 250w per coil.
It now runs at 8 ohm, connected in series.
Im in the last few steps in tuning my system to work with my little car. Been a long prosses. Starting to get tired of tuning and stuff now. Now i just wanna drive and have it work flawlessly everytime, for years to come hopefully.

The fleemarked amp carpower 4/600 works great on the "raw power" project system.
When T1500 together with TS-W3002D4 drained my battery it was coupled independently, 2 ohm load to amp (amp was giving out 1500 watts for it. A little overpower to the subs, but since i didnt play high it was fine. But obviously not for my battery and alt :P

Yep. It'll be fine.
I had an old Punch 100 DSM I ran that way for years. I originally had two 12", 8 ohm MTX Terminators (parallel for a 4 ohm load) running in isobaric configuration, but one of the subs blew. I removed it and ran the single 8 ohm like that for ~3 more years.
AAMOF, I was gearing up the night before an SPL competition and that's when I blew the one sub. I competed the next day in the 0-100 watt class and won 1st place with a 135.5 dB. It was in a 1992 Camaro, which are known for their fantastic in-car-response.

i might say its probable 8. Its probable 4 ohm over 2 coils. The 4 is interior the article call, and Rockford fosgate constantly places the ohms interior the call of the article style. The D is probable for twin, so twin 4 equals 8. 12 is 12" maximum suitable me if i'm incorrect.
