What else you see i can improve on. Im planning to take it from my car today and do improvements on it. Please come with insightfull tips on how this "raw power" enclosure can be as efficient as possible, thanks. Im not so good with this, havent enough experience, so i need yours!!!
2 AnswersCar Audio9 years agoI am running a Rockford Fosgate T1500-1BDCP at 8 ohm, the sub was too powerfull and drained battery. Is it ok?
I will get better sound quality, but less punch. Atleast now all my amps and speakers play in harmony.
Before it was too much bass i must admit it. But after the "raw power" project was done, i didnt need as much bass, cus the project system was powerfull too.
Anyone else tested the T1500 in 8 ohm, what you think?
2 AnswersCar Audio9 years agoShow me some excellent active filters for my setup?
I dont know what you need to know to determin it, but iwill give it a try.
I have 2 Vifa TC26TG05-06, 2 CA21RE 8" 8 ohm, woofers. I have 2 CA21RE 8" 8 ohm working as midrange. Enclosure is arround 24liters big with wooden splitter for Stereo.
This im running on a carpower 4/600 @ 4 ohm (with the filter i have in it its 4 ohm load out)
Sub is a Pioneer TS-W3002D4 running from a Rockford Fosgate T1500-1BDCP on 2 ohm load.
Headunit is Pioneer Avic-F930BT, where i run a juego Macron 25mm dome. (those will not be using the active filter, since they are on the HU.
Tell me what else you need to know to help me?
2 AnswersCar Audio9 years agoAnyone noticed that using loudness function on headunits, work better for ordenary speakers, than subs?
I noticed it when i had to drive arround without the sub on.
Then when i had it on while only using the regular speakers, the loudness sounded much better for the small speakers than for the huge subwoofer.
1 AnswerCar Audio9 years agoIf a Headunit puts out 2.2volt signal, and the gain (0.2v-6v) is set to arround 2.2v on the amp,,,?
Why do the sound get higher when you reach that treshold?
Please explain in fine details, thanks.

2 AnswersCar Audio9 years agoA speaker that has ported enclosure needs less powerfull amp, than a sealed one?
Ok lets say an element thats 250W max RMS in a Ported Box uses a 250W RMS amp..
Then lets take sealed, with powerfull amp, how much more powerfull do the powerfull amp need to be over 250W RMS to power it in sealed? Since sealed needs more power, i thought it would be interesting to ask.

1 AnswerCar Audio9 years agoWhy do my backspeaker allways play both, even when i test ballance left right?
Maybe rca from hu to channel is set in sub channel? Instead of left & right used?
2 AnswersCar Audio9 years agoIf i want the full potensial of my tweeters, midrange, fulltone, and sub, setting the right LP and HP is imp?
So i was reading on low pass filters, and high pass filters.
Im a music freak, that wants SQ over SPL, even if im running a subwoofer thats SPL (didnt see that when i bought it)
Ok here is what i have done BEFORE i read about LP and HP, and FULL, realy didnt understand much.
HU amp runs: 2 Tweeters in dash : HPF set to 125Hz (50Hz-125Hz)
4ch amp runs:Ch 1/2, 2 midrange w/tweeters: HP 15Hz (15Hz-150Hz).
4ch amp runs:Ch 3/4, 2 Fulltone Speakers: (Have the amp set to fulltone) <Dont remember settings.
Monoblock runs: 1 Sub in the trunk, sealed enclosure: LP set to 35Hz (35Hz-250Hz)
So after i have read about LP and HP, i realized i had set my system wrong for SQ.
Here is what i think i have done wrong and right:
HU mounted tweeters are correct set, there i have set to 125Hz, meaning i dont let the low frequencies comming to the tweeters.
The 4ch i dont think i have right, instead of only cutting 15Hz i should put settings on cutting frequency on 150Hz on the ch 1/2, and set ch 3/4 to full is right (but here im not excactly sure what to do??)
The Monoblock i should set to 350Hz, and allow all those frequencies to play.
Am i right, if i want its full potensial?
Help me on the fulltone settings on what filters to set there?
Thx :)

4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs9 years agoMounting 2 amps, and 2 capacitors on a sub enclosure. Will it be fine, with rubber between?
I know many does this, and its convenient doing it. But will it be ok?
Please dont just say no, prove it please, and not by saying amps will shiver to peaces, and parts will fly etc.
