Would a pawn shop trade a Romanian Wum-1(AK-47 Variant) for a Smith and Wesson 29-2?

There is a pawn shop near me that has a Romanian Wum-1 (AK-47 variant) and they want $700 for it but I don't have the money but was wondering if do yall think they would trade my Nickel 6.5 or 6 inch (I dont know the exact length) Smith and Wesson 29-2 for there Wum-1. No box just the revolver in very good condition.

Update:

I didnt ask for your opinion i want to know if yall think its a good deal

I don't think they will do it. At least not straight across. In a pawn loan on your S&W, they might give you $200 at most. I suspect in a trade they *may* give you as much as $400 but would still want at least $300 cash plus your gun.

I've been buying guns from pawn shops for a long time and can tell you without doubt or reservation that while many times you can get good cash deals, in a trade they will take you every time.

The very best thing to do is try and sell your S&W straight out in a private party sale - I think you might be able to get about $450 - $500 for it if it is in good condition. And use that money towards the AK clone.

The early WUMS are some of the best Romanian AK's out there. Later ones not as good, but still good. $700 seems a little high unless it is an earlier model.

No. The thing with pawn shops is that they are out to make money. And that means ripping people off by a massive degree. They may offer to trade but you still would have to pay them at least $500 if not $650. It's just how it is. Pawn shops to me are con-artists that get away with what they do because they are a buisness.

The easier method would be to sell the handgun online and use that money towards the rifle while saying that you don't have the full $700.

I have a WUM-1 seven thirty round mags and a mag carrier. All are in perfect condition and function great. I would trade you straight up for your Smithy. I've always wanted a model 29.

I doubt he will go even trade It depends on what he's got in the Ak

Your pistol may sit a while.... I'd figure I'd done well if I gave to the Ak for the SW and $200

Dont lie. No where in your question did you ask if it was a good deal, you only said if the pawn shop would trade you for it.

that will depend on a lot of factors. Condition of gun, age of gun, their policies and the person you are dealing with. Just a note, take off your scope, shoulder strap, etc. pawn shops never give you credit for that stuff.

NO, No, no its a Lousy, Rotten, Stinking Deal for you.* The Variant is nothing but Junk their only good for junkyards.* If he's asking $700.00 Dollars for the Variant its way, way overvalued.* It would be a very dumb and stupid thing to do.* You would be Trading an Apple Orchard for one Apple.*
