What makes girls pretty?
Okay, so the other day I was wondering what made guys think that girls are pretty. Somebody said that one of my friends is pretty and (not to be mean) I didn't agree. It's not like I'm jealous or being conceited, I'm just confused.
I don't necessarily think that I'm prettier than her (and I'm not trying to sound vain and like I think that I'm so much better than other people) but I don't think she's pretty at all.
And I don't mean like somebody being "pretty" because they're nice or you just say that they're "pretty" because they're your friend and you don't want to be mean. I mean completely based on physical appearance.
People say that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" but there has to be something that classifies people into the "pretty" category and not the "ugly" category? What is it?
And I DO NOT want any unhelpful answers. I don't care if you think I'm being mean or whatever. And I don't want any perverted answers either. 10 points!!!!!

Well with stupid society today, pretty is skinny average height long hair popular big butt and boobs white straight teeth nice clOthes etc

Beauty or 'being pretty', in your case is different for everyone. Some people like big straight smiles, or dimples, or girls with long hair. So that person that said your friend is pretty thinks something about her is aesthetically pleasing, or 'pretty'. They see something they like in her. I do not know really why my boyfriend thinks I am pretty, and sometimes even calls me gorgeous. I should ask him sometime :-p then I could give you a personal experience answer.

Prettiness and the perception of prettiness is mostly determined by people's genes.
The shape of your face and body is mostly determined by your genes. And guys have hormones and genes that make them like certain looks more than other looks.
Usually, symmetry and balance of features without any feature outstanding too much is what makes girls look pretty to guys.

Nice hair, teeth, and clothes.
No acne.
Smells nice ( no perfume maybe like body spray or something )
Doesn't talk bad about others or pretends to be nice when they are just fake.

well, what makes girls pretty are there souls. if there nice, and sweet, a kind, then there Beautiful. I kinda don't really see what your trying to get across but all i can say is everyone beautiful in there own ways.

Im a guy and that i think of the suitable woman has: black hair/blue eyes/has a sturdy discern yet to no longer skinny and to no longer buff/and a great loving and worrying character! additionally, she could relatively care approximately you and tutor you her affection!
