Your thoughts: Why hasn't Prince Fielder been signed by anyone?
The hype at the end of the season made it sound like 5 minutes after Albert signed somewhere, Prince would be signed by the second highest Albert bidder.

I think he is asking for too much, but then again I think Pujols got WAY too much. All it takes is 1 GM to be desperate enough to sign him to a monster deal like that.
His weight obviously is a factor. It doesn't seem to hurt him on the field yet, as he is actually a solid defender at 1st. However, long term his weight could become an issue, which is why teams wouldn't want to five him a 10 year deal.
That's a tough decision. With Boras running the show he will probably merely go to the highest bidder. The Nationals come to mind as a team that overpays for talent. I think he will, wherever he ends up, get something in the range of a 7 year deal for 160 million or so.

He doesn't deserve what he's asking for. If I'm an MLB GM, I think that either he takes a paycut and less years, or he's staying a Free Agent until he takes said paycut. It seems every team has this mentality, good.

He wants too much money and he carries too much weight. This cannot be denied. It's rumored that Washington is the favorite to sign him though, after being burned by Werth after he signed a huge deal last offseason, they won't come close to the 8 year/$200M Fielder and his scumbag agent want.
Look for something along the lines of 5-6 years and $85-100M. Even then, he'll be making about 1,000X what he's worth.

Too much money for too long a stretch of time. If he is serious about wanting Pujouls money, He would have signed with the Brewers when they offered him $21m per last year. Boras is holding out for more money for him based on past performance and future projections. The owners are being smart (with him at least) in not giving him more $ because "he's younger and has a bigger upside".
My gut says he signs a shorter deal (3-4yrs) worth about $23m per and goes to a contender (Texas, Milwaukee, St Louis). Plus, most of the teams that have the money to spend either are not contenders (Nationals) or are already set at first base.

Thank his agent Scott Boras. He's asking for $25million a season. Good luck with that!

Sure he is waiting for all the best offers to come in, besides being on Vacation for the off season. Maybe he is also waiting to see where other big name players signs so then he can pick his spot for the best team to play on. Rather then being like Albert and going for the most money the quickest.
Maybe Prince wants to see if the Brewers can pick up any big names to put around him before he resigns or not, or to see what Boston and NY do. I think there is a chance Prince isn't just worried about the most money, and just wants to go to the best team, of course with alot of money, he'll get a ton of money no matter where he goes.
