Question on Mac OSX Upgrade?

I have a 2008 Macbook 4.1 Intel core 2 duo 2.4 ghz processor w/ 2GB memory and 3mb L2 cache. Wondering if this unit will run OSX 10.6, or better, 10.7, efficiently. Any input?

You should have no problems running either Lion or Snow Leopard on this machine.

BUT I would definitely consider getting a memory upgrade for your laptop.

If you want to go to Lion (10.7) you will actually need to upgrade to Snow Leopard (10.6) first, since (I believe) there is no upgrade path to Lion other than from Snow Leopard.

I just upgraded to Lion and it was the best $29.99 I ever spent. It was worth it just for the added gestures!

Drop a bit more RAM in there and you'll be fine.

Wow Sadie, way to stay current. 10.7 has been out for a while.

Sure, go ahead and get Snow Leopard at least.

You could also buy more RAM (max of 6GB) and install Lion.
