Why isn't Wayne Gretzky playing in the Rangers - Flyers alumni game?

Every hockey fan would love to see Gretzky on the ice, and he knows it. I am a Flyers fan and I want to see Gretzky play. He played in the Oilers alumni game, why not for the Rangers?

Wayne Gretzky only played 3 seasons with the Rangers. He played many more seasons with the Oilers and Kings. Besides, he probably has other priorities.

Isn't it because he is still in a dispute over his contract with the Coyotes, and feels the NHL owes him so $. So he isn't doing NHL events until it's resolved.

I was told that he had prior commitments. As for the Rangers trading him . . Umm, correct me if I'm wrong, but did he not retire as a Ranger?

the reason behind that was because he didn't get good until his 4 season so when he was on the rangers he sucked and that is why new york traded him

He only played with them for like 2 years.
