New semi automatic rifle?

I have been tossing around several ideas for a new rifle and just can't decide

-Ak (amd-65,ak-74,aks-74,polish tantal,akm,akms,)

-m1a

-m1 garand

-mini-14

-ar-15

Any ideas/suggestions as to the manufacturer or type of one of this rifle would be appreciated, thanks~sovietsammich

Update:

Whoops forget about purpose, I just want it because I am American and I can.

    What's your price range?

I've always been partial to the hunting-type Browning Autos. I also like the Mini-30. Then again, if you can afford an M1 Carbine, those are nice for target shooting.

If you want something you can customize, get an AR-15 of some sort. If you just want to shoot it as-is, it's really up to you... Whatever catches your fancy is best!

As far as AKs go, i'd sooner have a lever action 30-30. That cartridge has essentially the same qualities as the 7.62x39mm & the lever action never jams. All semi-autos can jam.

Garands are for WWII vets and mini-14s are for A-team wannabees.

Get a good budget AR & spend a few bucks to trick it out.

Bushmaster is a good start. Colts are way over-priced as are SIGs.

    Just because you can?

Well if you want one just because get 20mm Vulcan

    I want the

    AR-10

    M1 garand

    Mossberg 590A1

And something in the 50bmg magazine fed bolt action

m1 garand, its a great deer rifle, good for targets and a hell of a lot better than a ak anything

if you really like the ak47 and 74 you should consider a c or p stamped norinco sks , these are esentialy the same as a semi auto sks which is all we can get here easy
