where can I find (online) old ads of farmers looking for labor for their farms?
let me expand..
My son has a project in that he is supposed to be a farmer from colonial times that has placed an ad in the paper for an inexpensive and reliable source of labor to grow his cas crop, tabacco.
I have done some research and all I can find are the ads placed in papers looking for runaway slaves. I would like to see an ad for farm help from that period so I can see the verbiage that was used and so that he can make his article more accurate.

be very careful. I heard of people in Ohio putting help wanted ads for farm work on Craigslist.com and then they murdered the people that responded to the ads, fairly recently too. its a big nasty world full of savage psychically ill apes and the world wide web brings us all closer to home

There are none. I suspect his teacher wants him to be creative and write an ad as if he himself were the farmer looking for laborers.
