Ex girlfiend stole my tv, should I sue her?

My ex and I moved across the country in July of last year. I shipped my 52" tv to her friend's house where the friend agreed to hold on to it for us. There was no issues until the girlfriend and I broke up a couple months ago and she moved in with her friend. After about six weeks I decided to ask her if I could pick up my tv so I could put in storage as I have no place to put it now. She informed me that she was keeping my tv although I again told her I wanted it but she could keep the 32" tv of ours that she also had and was specific in saying which tv in the text. I was informed she was selling it so I texted her and she acknowledged that she knowingly sold something that was not hers to sell. She stated that because she told me she was keeping that I was ok with this (besides she's not working and needed money, etc). I'm angry because with the shipping I had invested just over 2k into this tv that I can no longer recover. I'm thinking of suing her but the tv was in her possesion and the only proof I have of ownership is the texts. Any thoughts (besides I never should've had the tv remain at her friend's in the first place)?

cut your loses and be glad it wasnt a nice house in the suburbs that she kept.

live and learn, then walk away clean.

..or sue her if youre into the drama of it all.

No -- U will be wasting your time and money. There are far more important things in life. Live and learn. Let it go. Even if U go to court and get a favorable decision on this, the courts are NOT obligated to help U collect the debt they awarded in your favor. So U loose no matter if U win.

If you could prove the TV wasn't hers and had not been given to her, you might have a small claims case (not sure the monetary ceiling for those types of cases)...

...or you can write it off as a bad judgement call and just be glad to be out of that relationship and done with her...

if you have witness of the agreement or have it on paper , in a e-mail take her to small claims court and sue for you losses. Also can you prove you loss cost of the tv , shipping and any other losses. never let people screw you over and always COVER your *** when doing things like this.

An engagement ring is a conditional present. it is given and known with the promise of marriage. Whichever social gathering breaks that promise (breaks off the engagement) loses the hoop. it is popular etiquette and the regulation in maximum places.
