Without naming a specific candidate- What issues would your ideal candidate for President embrace?

A reduction in government size, presence, and spending.

An end to the hugely wasteful war on drugs. Drugs are a health problem, not a criminal problem. Putting people in jail doesn't address the real root of the problem.

More welcoming immigration policy. Offer citizenship to illegals who are working legitimate jobs - nothing wrong with more legitimate taxpayers. Many of them already pay taxes anyway - that makes them a citizen in my mind as they fund the country same as you or I. They should be protected as citizens, not persecuted for seeking a better life.

Abortion should be considered a medical treatment and be covered by healthcare. No 'parental permission under 16' as bush brought in - that is just a sneaky way to limit abortions. Government can't tell someone what they can or cant do with their own body.

A universal healthcare system to replace the current 'See a doctor only if you have insurance' system. Healthcare should be a universal right.

Faith? That has nothing to do with government according to the establishment clause in the constitution. The ideal candidate will not have a platform that acknowledges faith. Religious freedom is guaranteed by the constitution, that is enough. A political endorsement of faith violates that because it limits secular voters' right to be free from religion.

Economy, jobs & training, business investment, integrity, taxes,healthcare, borders security, immigration, faith abortion etc,

* Reduce taxes / new tax code for working Americans

* Cut government spending by at least 1/3 in the next 4 years. 1/2 in 6 years.

* Let the UN settle foreign disputes, time for the US to stop being world police

* Reduce dependence on foreign oil by drilling here AND exploring alternative options

* Enforce existing immigration laws

* Leave social issues (gay marriage, abortion) up to individual states.

* Repeal Obamacare. Let individual states decide on state issued health care.
