Alternate versions of songs you like better than the album version?

I prefer the live version of Don't Let Our Youth Go To Waste by Galaxie 500, and the live version of Velvet Underground by Jonathan Richman.

I like covers of some songs. These are the most recent I heard and thought were better than the original.

BQ: I prefer the album version, just out of nostalgia: it sounds so 80's. Also, I like the horns. I think they are both charming, though.

sometimes I wonder why they chose the album version over the demo, the demo is a lot heavier and would have pleased the audience more.

Raw version sounds way better. The opening is nicer, and it's an airier version and freatures stronger guitars and vocals imo.
