I could write a book on this, but for now...Im gonna give you the basics.

    Weightlifting:

First off, start researching "Compund" workouts. These are lifts that are big and heavy, and will have you gaining the most muscle in the shortest time. For now...dont waste your time with silly "Isolation" lifts like "curls". Workout 2-3 times a week. Make sure you have a day of rest inn between your workouts. One day - workout, Next day - rest.

    Diet:

Eat lots of protein...chicken, eggs, milk, ect (Any dairy product). Drink protein shakes, eat protein bars for extra help but dont rely on them. Eat 4 - 6 times a day. If you have trouble fitting in meals, make milkshakes with ice cream and dump peanut butter and protein in it.

    Rest:

6-8 hours of sleep every night. A few hours into sleep, your body releases a growth hormone which helps rebuild the muscle fibers that you torn when you workout. You build muscle when you rest/sleep...not when you workout.

My advice, do a lot of research and any question you have...google it.

Chris, I will start by saying you are not skinny, ok? I know exactly how you feel though, as I was almost the same when I was your age. You may have to just accept who you are for the time being. Since you are only 15, you still have some growing to do and will no doubt "bulk up" some with new muscle and larger (bone) frame. However, I would talk to a professional about adding new stuff to your diet so you do it right and not mess things up for yourself. Believe it or not, you can screw with your health by going about this wrong. Eating as balanced diet as you can, consistent exercise, and a good nights sleep is highly recommended! You can talk to the people at the health store or where ever they sell those types of supplements, but keep in mind that their job is to sell you their products. Take the info they give you and sleep on it, ask some older guys what they suggest...in other words, get as much info as you can then decide what is best for you. The internet has endless information as well so spend some time researching that was as well. There is an old saying that knowledge is power, so with that in mind do your homework and make a informed, healthy decision! If you want, let me know how things are going. I was in sports most of my life and am familiar with what its like. I wish you well my friend!

What you want to use is a weight gainer and eat plenty of foods with proteen. You should be doing only light weights or natural exercises these are easy to find online just google or ask for a workout plan if you decide to go to a local gym. You need to eat straight after every time exerciseing straight away so as that it takes proteen from food not your body bananas ar a good start maby few jafacakes or figroles or something and have something more substantail soon after. Remember for every muscle there is an opposite acting like do a push up and for every 1 or 2 do a sort of pull up with your feet higher or level with your head as to build opposite muscle and reduce bone damage as of your age and body not being fully strengthened. I did this at your age really payed off hope it helps

Yes it is true. The next time you visit the doctor, ask the doctor if he/she has calipers, and have your body fat measured. That is the better measure of your weight than just weight alone. You could have two people side by side that weigh the same exact weight, and one could be fat, and the other in terrifically good shape because of your muscle to fat composition.
