How do I change my primary Graphics Card?

I have recently purchased a HP Pavillion dv6 laptop, with a Radeon Graphics card. However, when I attempted to play a game on it, it worked much slower than I expected it to. I then went and checked the dxdiag utility and saw that the Display was: Mobile Intel(R) HD Graphics, which I believe to be integrated graphics.

Then I went to the Device Manager and ALSO saw that there were two display adapters listed:

1) Mobile Intel(R) HD Graphics

2) Radeon (TM) HD 6490M

My questions are this:

Am I right in saying that my Radeon graphics card is not the primary graphics card?

How can I change my primary graphics card to the Radeon graphics card? I assume its done using BIOS?

If you need any more details, do not hesitate to ask.

Though it is true that you cannot remove integrated graphics (as its built into the "mobo" -- motherboard) you can potentially add in an additional graphics card and then, with some tweaking, set your new one as the primary so that gaming goes smoother.
