dba means doing business as
most all corporations are DBAs.
legal difference; syllogism
all DBAs mean the org; either a proprietorship, partnership, LLC or CORP is named for other than the
founder. Meaning, the founder's last name is not the name of the corp or..........
a corp is a legal state entity. Filing papers are necessary and a legal filing to see if anyone else has this
name or has a complaint about this name but mainly it is meant to say "if you ever have a legal problem with this
firm, its legal agent is........."
a DBA does not have to do that.
a DBA just means, regardless of the org structure, it is not the name of the founder.
