Names short for another name?

Does anyone know names that are short for other names? Like Tess(Teresa) and Lottie(Charlotte) and Lyddie(Lydia). By the sounds of these names you can tell I'm not into any of the more recent names (like maddie(madison) yuck!) I'm looking for old style names, or just cute names in general (like Darcie or Sypha). Something that could be used in a Jane Austen novel. (Please do not list her characters, I already know them all)

thanks XD

Well the name Elizabeth has a few possibilities like Beth ( also works for Bethany) or Lizzy or even

(for a more modern twist) Zabet.

I also like the name Theodore because you can call him Theo or Teddy

Teddy also works for Theadora but you can use Dora or Thea also.

Some nicknames for Kaitlin are Katie( works for Catherine) or Kate.

I love the name Gwynovere and you could say Gwynie or Gwen

and a short name for Kimberly is either Kim or Kimmie.

Lastly, a shorter version of Vanessa can be Ness or Nessy.
