advice on song choice...?

Hi, I am auditioning for a TV show in less than three weeks...

Im trying to compile a list of songs that could represent my journey, and that others will feel a connection to.

I was suffering with depression for years, but last year something happened which really opened my eyes as to how precious life is...

Im looking for a song about embracing the future.. Having overcome difficulties, without it being a melodramatic song... Something slightly upbeat. Hopeful, positive, excited, about strengths, etc...

Any suggestions welcome...

My voice is that of a Tenor... A little like Josh Groban, but with a little less vocal range.. But I do have a slightly classical feel to my voice...
