Forrest Gump is a bit of Drama and a bit of a comedy at the same time

The Life Time film "America" with Rosie O'Donell is a very good tear-jerking drama

Freedom Writers is another good drama as, well. Very heart-felt

Pay it Forward is a drama and it has an alcoholic Mom in it but it's not all about her

Tommy is a musical with Rock in it, like Pink Flyod's

Repo The Genetic Oprea is a scray Rock-musical

A light but still heart breaking drama is Reign Over Me with Adam Sandler, and believe me he did a great job. It's about a man whose family dies in 9/11.

A really f'ed up movie but it is really good is Old Boy, and if I give it away there will be no suspense. It's a foreign movie available in subtitles or dubbed.

City of God is arguably one of the best movies ever made about a drug town in Brazil.

You have to see Requiem for a Dream. This movie exposes four paralleled individuals and their menacing addiction to heroin, cocaine, and diet pills (speed).
