Metal Fans: Favourite Dissection Song?
It used to be Nights Blood for the longest time, followed by The Somberlain or Where dead Angels lie but over the last year, I feel like I've been listening to slower paced stuff and maybe abit more progressive...and because of that, I've been appreciating Thorns of a Crimson Death alot more. There are some great riffs in the songs, nice leads for black metal, some tempo changes all the while keeping it in the dark dissection style

Well..me n my band covered The Somberlain last month..it came out quite well! but im quite tired of that song now...its a great song! but its saturated in my head due to the number of times v've played that song...current pick would be Black Horizons...
MA2 : My introduction to Dissection..wonderful song! perhaps the song that changed my mind about black metal musicians (even though Dissection is not pure BM)..atleast i realised that ppl like Jon Nödtveidt could make music like this..

Hey man, My favorite Dissection song is also Thorns Of Crimson Death. I use to listen to Night's Blood over and over, but then I started to listen to the whole Storm of the Light's Bane album. And usually I will just listen to every album straight through, but Thorns Of Crimson Death really stands out the most for me now.
Yeah It's just a beautiful song, I recommend that song to everyone that has some interest in Melodic Black Metal.
Storm of the Light's Bane is definitely my favorite album, I have heard The Somberlain but I don't like it as much. I haven't heard Reinkaos, but I don't think it'll surpass
Storm of the Light's Bane. But hey maybe I'll give it a listen sometime.

When I first got into 'em 10 years ago, "Where Dead Angels Lie" was the real standout track for me as well, probably due to that little melody line. Then it was "Somberlain" for a while, then it was "Unhallowed" (probably the heaviest/most evil track), and now it's probably "Thorns" as well. The intro, just those first couple of notes remind me of this Angel Witch song, though I can't recall which one.

Feathers Fell, mainly because I admired it in acoustic guitar. He was an amazing musician overall though, especially at that age. But The Somberlain in it's entirety - was the best of Dissection. Followed by Storm Of The Light's Bane of course.

I like Owen, once again not too familiar with all their work so I don't have any favorites. I have been listening to a lot friends of mine on SoundCloud, they are some of the most loyal people (other than you of course) I know, every time I post something they are always there, met some good people there.
however, this sounds pretty good. bro!
