You can't really dye your hair, but you can temporarily stain it! You can use hot coffee to stain it slightly deeper. You can even use Koolaide to stain your hair (works best if you're a blonde). Lemon juice mixed with vinegar can slightly lighten your hair if you sit out in the sun or under a heat lamp, but this works best in the summer time. A REAL natural hair dye is organic Henna (not the store-bought stuff, as that stuff usually contains metallic salts -- not good for you or your hair.) Here is a site all about body-art-quality Henna that is used for the hair. http://www.hennaforhair.com/ They even have mix ideas to create your own hair color with organic plants. You can make brown hair (indigo and henna mixed together), auburn (buxus mixed with henna), red (plain henna), black (using indigo over freshly hennaed hair) or just to make blonde hair more bright (cassia). Good luck!

I've heard cold coffee can slightly darken your hair, it also makes it really shiny. Lemon juice can lighten your hair, as can Hydrogen Peroxide, but my mother has always warned me, because it really damages your hair! Kool-aid can be used for short-term colored hair. That's all I can think of. Hope I helped!

  • True dyes? No. Color enhancers? Maybe strong brewed coffee (brunette) hibiscus tea (reds) honey or lemon juice with chamomile (blonde)

Well, it's not at home but sun in is natural. It only works if you are trying to lighten your hair. Just spray it in your hair and go out in the sun. You could use peroxide, but that would make it a reddish color.

There's bleach, but that's not the best thing to do. They have at-home dyes that are inexpensive.
