Which would be faster HDD for a boot drive?

I have a 250GB 8MB Cache spinning at 7200rpm, I'm planning to upgrade to a 2TB 32MB 5400rpm HDD. Will it slow down my PC if I use the 2TB as the boot disk or should I stick with the 250GB?

I usually use Photoshop and video editing softwares. Ang the PC is always ON 24/7.

Thanks..

Use the 250GB 8MB 7200 RPM for your boot drive, it will get you up and running faster, than the other one which is a great storage and general use drive.

This is difficult to answer without knowing more about the hard drives. Even though the 250 GB one spins faster, the 2 TB one probably has much denser platters, which would increase its speed, and so it actually might be faster.

its best to keep the boot sector as is on the 250 drive, and keep the whole partition of 2TB on the new drive as data disk. this way you wont have to reinstall everything
