what headphones work in an ipad 2?
my wifes just got an ipad 2 she wants headphones for it (the over the head type(old fashioned cans) not earbuds/earplugs as she is uncomfortable using those) ive tried 5 or 6 different sets but no sound comes out from them ive even brought an audio splitter adaptor that was advertised as for use with ipad2 but that doesnt give her audio she has sound without headphones and my in ear earphones for my mobile phone and my daughters ipod earphones work on it so its not a fault with the ipad

not all 3.5 mm jacks work anyway if you look at the jack of the earphones some have two black rings/bands going round the tip some have 3 rings/bands ...the ones with 3 bands fit the others dont
still though im getting no sound out of the 3 ringed ones (the headphones ive tried work on all other devices mp3 phone pc etc)

Any type of headphones with a 3.5mm audio jack should work regardless, its a standard headphone jack, umm I honestly dont know and have never heard of headphones being incompatible, i suggest trying google
