Why ask a question concerning Mitt Romney's "Jewishness" and instantly block someone who answers?

Obviously, Mitt Romney isn't Jewish, but a user called (at this moment, of course it can change) "Friends" seems convinced he is, and is a "Jewish supremacist". There was more, but it's hardly worth detailing. I have been wondering about the reason for the response to my answer pointing out that Romney isn't Jewish, i.e. the blocking within minutes, and can only assume this is someone so insecure that s/he can't cope with anyone with different views. What do other people think this is about?

Update:

How weird that Yahoo says I'm asking this question in the United States! I'm in the UK.

Considering the absurd nature of the claims that person made, darling, this is clearly not someone who cherishes facts. Narrow-minded bigots like that guy cannot deal with opposition or debate and the block button lets them pretend that there isn't any debate. Some people (and apparently, he's one of them) feel that if they silence any voice that disagrees with them, then everyone will think that they're right. It's deranged, but sadly all too common.

When I looked at his question, I didn't even have to check out his links to see that he's just bonkers (and kudos to you for being fair-minded enough to even try one of them, darling), and I answered accordingly, pointing out the ludicrous falsehood of some of the more insane claims he made. I expect to be blocked by him within minutes.

There are all kinds of nuts with all kinds of issues here on yahoo. I wouldn't take it personally. Weirdos abound in abundance on yahoo. I wish I had a dollar for every time I was blocked! Have a nice day and ignore the crazy people!:)

The funny thing is he could just say the truth, "Mitt Romney is Mormon" and get almost as much negative fall out as their lie.

Sounds like someone had a guilty conscience and didn't want to be confronted with the truth.

(My Answers originate from Malaysia and I'm in the US by the way.)

  • With a question that absurd, chances are the asker's only purpose is to annoy as many people as possible. Blocking is probably part of that game. It's likely an attempt to achieve a sense of attention and control.

The only reasonable counter is to ignore it and refuse to reward the behaviours. :-(

He did the same thing to me! I think he's simply a bigot who is trying to hide his bigotry by saying "I'm not anti-Semitic"... I think he's a damn coward with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. So when a person this lacking in honesty asks a question like this, I realize that he is a very insecure person who isn't sure he believes what he should.....
