What is there to do in Brooklyn, NY?
My friends and I visit NYC every year, but we typically stay in Manhattan. We love music, dancing, nice restaurants, wine, shopping, etc. Can you recommend some things for us to see so we can experience Brooklyn? We'll be visiting Jan 27-30. Thanks!

Coney Island Beach and Brighton Beach are at the south of Brooklyn. The New York Aquarium is also at Coney Island by the beach: http://www.nyaquarium.com/ There's also a small amusement park by the beach. Everything is in walking distance. The Brooklyn Botanical Garden is in another part and is cheap/free: http://www.bbg.org/ Then there's also Prospect Park: http://www.prospectpark.org/ That was designed by Olmstead, who was the guy who designed Central Park.

I would go around Brooklyn Heights area, williamsburg, greenpoint. Check out Trip Advisor.
would even recommend BayRidge for many many restaurants.
I would not go to Coney Island are unless you are interested in run down areas. Brighton Beach is mostly a Russian area old and some parts not that safe, Sheepshead bay is a better choice.
