Which NHL team should I support?
Hy everybody, I'm from Slovenia but our family moved to Saskatoon. I go there to high school now and I started to watch hockey more often. I can't decide which team to support. I want to support a Canadian team since I live here, probably oilers, flames or jets because they are from the closest cities to Saskatoon and I'd like to go to some games there since there's no NHL team here in Saskatoon. I'd also like to support a team that has passionate fans not the bandwagon ones and I'd also like a young, but experienced team that also has a good goalie( because it's my favourite position, since I play goalie). And I have another question. Which team out of those is the easiest to get single game tickets, because I'd like go and watch some games there, but I don't want to buy season tickets because it's to far to go there twice or three times a week. Please answer and thanks for all your answers.

If you want to support a Canadian team, go with anyone BUT the Habs (whose fans are retarded enough to flood emergency phone lines when a player on a rival team doesn't get a suspension and are up in arms that the coach and most of the players can't speak French) or the Canucks (who dive all over the place, bite people are a generally so dislikeable that even though Canada desperately wants one of its team to bring home to Cup for the first time in going on 18 years now, most Canadians outside of BC supported the Bruins last year in the finals).

I think you should be a Jets fan. : ) Because they're the closest, and also a new team I think it is the best choice for you. Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto are pretty much sellouts every night so I don't think you could get tickets for those. : ( I am pretty sure Jets games were sold out for something like 3 years when they first had the proposal to move there but I'm sure if you find some friends with tickets, you could buy a game or two.
Oh, and welcome to Canada. : )

why are people putting American teams? he clearly states that the team needs to be Canadian as he can't travel and he wants to support a local team. I would say winnipeg. espn.go.com/nhl/attendance
this website shows the average attendance for the season. the jets are near the bottom suggesting that they don't have as a good a fan base as the others, although this may be because their stadium holds less. I'm not entirely sure, hope this helps

Out of those three teams the Oilers is the team you are looking for. They suck now but they have the most potential with all the young stars. And they have nikolai khabibulin in goal.... not a great goalie but solid.

I would start to follow the Edmonton Oilers, very rich past and very bright future. I know you mentioned good goalie, and Nikolai is no longer the Bulin' wall but you can learn and appreciate his style. And if your bored one day research the 80's Oilers and prepare yourself to be simply amazed.

Flyers fan like me, he passionate but in our own way haha but calagary flames would be a good choice since they have a good goalie but jets might be the best choice!

Hmm, maybe the Kings? Anze Kopitar first came to mind when you said you were from Slovenia.
But you can be a Bruins fan if you want to :D

Go for the Jets! Not only are they close to you geographically, but also they are a new team, so you haven't missed much history!

A good team for you would be the rangers because they have a fantastic goalie (Henrik lundqvist) and great aqusitions such as brad richards
