Hasn't employment increased by 1.46 million jobs since Obama extended the Bush tax cuts?

...and the GOP took the House?

Employment, JAN 2011: 139.330 million

Employment, DEC 2011: 140.790 million

Civilian Employment (Seasonally Adjusted)

Maybe these are, and maybe they aren't, major factors in employment gains. However, it is high time the facts are set straight on this site.

The Bush tax cuts were also in place when we were losing millions of jobs so what is your point?

Employers took a backseat right after Obama took office, waiting to see how his policies would affect them and how much Obamacare would cost them - which they still have no answer to. This was another one of the issues they were watching. So, yes, it did make a difference when Obama continued the cuts, as opposed to halting them. Now, if he would just drop all the other threats he's made toward the business community, we might be able to get Americans back to work. I expect things to get better in the next year. Not due to anything Obama will do, but bc it is almost certain that he is going to be taking a dive.

The facts set straight on this site? Fat chance.

How much has employment increased since the Bush tax cuts were instituted in 2002 and 2004? It seems odd that announcing that a policy that is already in place would continue for another year would have much, if any, effect on employment.

no person for optimistic believes the declare that "tax cuts advance sales." No information is ever provided to assist the declare, questioning it fairly isn't any longer supported by employing reality. George H.W. Bush as immediately as used the term "voodoo economics" for that style of tax-lowering philosophy. diverse than he grew to grow to be Ronald Reagan's working mate and found out to love the "voodoo." Hypocrites? stable, yeah. yet clever ones: they have got here upon the proper suitable thank you to persuade undesirable and middle style Republicans that tax cuts for the wealthiest in some way will progression those decrease than, besides the reality that it does now no longer ensue. Conservative Ronald Reagan tripled the national debt by employing skill of tax cuts and deficit spending, and conservatives take care of him as a god. George W. Bush inherited a treasury surplus and grew to grow to be it precise right into a deficit by employing way of tax cuts and an ineffective conflict in Iraq that has fee us over 1000000000000 money and the lives of super parts of courageous youthful persons. And conservatives love him. very just about as much as they hate President Obama. So, if President Obama is in pick of a payroll tax decrease, conservatives oppose it. it particularly is way less complicated than having to truly evaluate with connection with the actually experts and cons of the predicament.

So keeping tax levels exactly where they were when the economy was losing millions of jobs is in part responsible for the economy adding a million? If you want to set the facts straight, explain how the hell that makes sense.

"maybe these are, and maybe they aren't, major factors in employment gains."

So....not even YOU can explain for certain whether or not the Bush Tax Cuts contributed to job growth, and yet THE VERY NEXT SENTENCE...you talk about getting "facts straight."

    Oh, thats too comical.

THe Bush tax cuts had nothing to do with it. The economy is recovering on its own. The only thing Bush wanted to do was appease the wealthy at the expense of everyone.

    Tax cuts don't create jobs.

And can you imagine how much more employment would be if the House and Senate GOP actually stopped blocking progress?
