Where is this amazing library?

Someone I know posted this picture on facebook but doesn't know where it is or if it even really exists. Does it? Please say it does and tell me how to get there.

It does not in fact exist. At least, not yet. The image you see is an architectural rendering by a group of students from Paris. It is their theoretical plan for what is being called "The Wall of Knowledge", meant to be used in the Stockholm Library. However, it doesn't seem like there are any plans to actually create this wall.

Here is a brief blog post about the image:

Also, if you ever have another question like this, you can find out more about a certain image by using google image search. Just go to google, and click images. Then, in the search box, click the little camera picture. This will let you search by image URL, so just copy the image URL and paste it there. Viola!

Seems to be a a decorative idea, completely unusable. A triumph of the people who select their library for the way the decorative spines of the books match the drapes.

Try to imagine this in actual use, it'd be worthless.

I think it is either Bibliothek des Rechtswissenschaftlichen Instituts, located in Zürich. Or TU Delft Library, located in Delft, Netherlands.

Sorry that I changed my answer, I got them mixed up.

And I think it is definitely the one in Netherlands.
