college after 5th year count as 3rd higher sitting?

Im in my 5th year at school and i'm really getting frustrated with being treated like a 4 year old, not allowed to the toilet, being screamed at for forgetting a pencil etc etc

so i thought id go to college next year to continue my education, but my girlfriend says that counts as my third higher sitting which universities hate, is this true?

she said 5th year counts as the first, 6th year is the second and college is the third. But how can college still be the third sitting for me if i dont to 6th year?

help?
