Is aluminium prices delibrately kept low from fears of metal thievery? like what happened to copper?
Aluminium prices are incredibly low as if it is oppressively done for unrelated reasons like metal thievery . I am sure that you heard news about lowlifers running around stealing copper wiring and pipes right out of equipments and churches.. etc.. I used to suspect that it had a lot to do with industrial heavyweights who want to see metal prices kept low so to maximize profits. Now I am pointing to scrap metal dealers for being willing to pay in cash to anybody that comes with metal scraps ... I think that our government can and should outlaw the use of cash to pay any scrap metal sellers or low lifers.. Either sellers has to be certified or be paid in kinds as long as it is not cash like paying the seller's expenses electronically. That way , low lifers cannot get any cash and they usually have nothing like accounts that can be credited electronically for thier sales of stolen metal scrap of any kind.. We can still allow low lifers to steal steel and iron as they are to heavy and worth less as well as difficult to rip off anywhere. They can go out in the boonies where there is plenty of old rusty vehicles that they can haul out to sell no question asked, I dont care! Aluminium is supposed to be worth far more today yet it is still fetching a lousy dollar a pound today or 25 cent in 1980 dollars... Aluminium were trading at a dollar in 1980 which means that aluiminum shoudl be $4 by now... What the heck is going on ... is our govenrment asleep at the swtich ? or the trading pits?

Aluminum wire was used for a time, but it is a poor conductor for electricity and other problems developed, and the standard is now copper again.

ABSOLUTELY NOT, WHAT DETERMINES THE PRICE OF ALUMINIUM IS THE LAW OF SUPPLY AND DEMAND
