Suppose you examine another root tip and saw that half of the cells were dividing. would this root be growing faster or slower?
I need help with that question ^ im confused at first i thought that maybe it would grow faster but now im lost . please help me :) i would appreciate it .

How can we determine which growth rate is larger?
You did not tell what the first growth rate was.
If is 1/3 of the cells then 2nd is faster (1/2)
on other hand is 3/4 of first are growong the the 2nd root is slower

Faster. If the cells are dividing, they are creating more cells making it grow bigger faster.

Faster, cells divide to form more cells, and that makes it go faster.
