His father, Almighty God Jehovah is the one we look to for salvation. And of course he wants everyone to accept his son Christ Jesus. And follow his teachings. All the Gospels shows so many times how Jesus gives all credit to his father.

Has Jesus Christ personally walked up to anyone today and offered salvation?

No. That's the only reason people accept him anyways, they are scared of "hell" and that's why they need Jesus to somehow reserve their spot in "heaven".

then what would he be good for? that would not be a God or a messiah. Messiahs and Gods promise you a good life. if he didn't, then he would be no savior.

    I supposed I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't.

God can't save you in your sins.

God has all-power in a universe that self-exists and is inherently free.
