Peyton Manning 2012 team?
Where will he land? Stay in Indy? Or land with Jets, Chiefs, or Dolphins? I'm just spitballin' here.

That decision squarely rests with Peyton Manning himself: He has a serious neck injury that even the best protective football player gear can't effectively protect him from further bone and perhaps spinal cord damage he risks getting during game play.
It's a hell of a situation to be in: Stay off the field.....or risk life changing injury that MAY include paralysis from the neck or waist down? Really, is the mega-million$ that worth the risk?
If I was Manning, I'd retire from football---and hope the Colts or another NFL team hired me on as a head coach or quarterback coach. Or maybe get chosen to be a sports announcer for a major TV network or ESPN. Whatever the outcome, I'd opt for enjoying full use of my legs and arms to where I can still be of use to my family and live a full happy ( and wealthy ) life.

I thought he'd stay in Indy until last week when Irsay dumped the Polians. They were the ones saying to build up the team, and Irsay wanted Luck. So I think the writing is on the wall that Manning may not be there.
If this happens, I see him aiming for a team with a reasonable chance at the Super Bowl in the next couple of years. And I also think he'll want one with a decent DEF. The Jets are probably the more likely landing spot, but I can see the appeal of KC.
Believe it or not, I also think the Redskins are an option. They have a very good DEF, and certainly the running game he needs. The WRs are iffy, but there are a couple of promising prospects and Manning likes this type of thing.

If he's healthy, Irsay will keep him in Indy. The problem is that they have only 8 weeks to determine if he's fit or not. I think Manning wants to finish his career in Indy. And Irsay sounds willing to shell out the cash for both him and Luck if Manning is healthy. But Archie's comments about Peyton possibly not being ready for 2012 has me a little scared as a Colts fan. Does that mean he's likely out part of the season or all of the season? If he's out for part of the season, that's not so bad. You give Luck some playing time and experience until Manning gets better. If he's likely going to be out most to all of the season, I think the Colts probably will end up having to let Manning go or at the very least restructure his deal. The Jets, Washington, Miami, Minnesota, etc all could be potential landing spots.

Manning would NEVER play for the Jets. All the players are turning on each other saying they only played for money and they are all cry babys. I would think Manning would want to play for a classy organization not the New Jersey Jets which is a team of clowns and thugs. I think the Colts will end up trading their pick because I heard that teams are offering multiple 1st and 2nd round picks for theirs and they would be mental if they didn't take that. I hope Luck is a bust he plays is a weak conference and is considered an elite QB and he hasn't even taken a snap in the NFL.

They need to shop him like walmart. Jets makes sense because his brother is there in that town too and his dad is a marketing genius. Plus. New York hates mexicans so I see Sanchez going to the Cards or somewhere out west.

He will retire before going to play anywhere beside Indy. He will then go coach the University of Tennessee. Football time in Tennessee.

He's going to be an Indianapolis Colt next year. He's not being traded or let out of his contract if he can play football. Jim Irsay promised if he can play football he will be a Colt. I think its safe to say hell remain a Colt

Once Micheal Vick gets injured, and he will, the Philadelphia Eagles will have already signed him and lead the birds to the Super Bowl. You heard it hear first.

They'll keep him. Jim Isray already stated if he passed his physical he was going to pay him his almost 30 million dollar bonus. That being the case he would be stupid to trade him.
