yahoo requires new sign in every time i exit?
i really appreciate the answers that were almost immediate, however, i have been checking that little box for almost a month now and still have to sign in each time i sign up.

There is an option below the password entry box to 'Stay signed in for two weeks.' Check it if you wish, but it makes your mail more insecure if you are on a constantly on internet service unless you close the Yahoo page each time you are finished.
Staying logged in for two weeks also means that anyone with access to your computer has access to your mail - unless your computer itself is password-protected when it hibernates, sleeps, or is turned off.
